In first grade, when I was a student in Ms. Doolittle’s class, I found a book that opened up a whole new world of exploration and travel; The Fantastic Flying Journey by Gerald Durrell. It cataloged the trip of several young explorers who accompany their uncle Lancelot on his hot air balloon-house around the globe in search of his brother. This book has stuck with me and dreams of travel persisted, but remained only dreams: active when asleep but dormant through the day. That is, until now.
This spring I will be going on Semester at Sea Spring 2014 Voyage around the world!! I am so thankful and blessed to have received the Presidential Scholarship that covers tuition, room and board. I will be studying digit-ratios in STEM Women around the world as I live, study and travel aboard the MV Explorer. Join me in this journey as I follow nearly the same path as Lancelot and the young explorers to circumnavigate the globe, seeing so much of God’s marvelous creation and meeting so many amazing people!
